I had the amazing opportunity to support ASICS in their latest promotion! For this event, I provided yukata dressing and rentals for six people. The dynamic Montana Sport team looked absolutely stunning in ASICS shoes, even while wearing traditional yukata—a perfect fusion of tradition and innovation! 💡 Did you know? ASICS has shoes inspired by Kabuki makeup patterns! Founded in my hometown Hyogo, Japan, ASICS continues to expand worldwide in the sports industry. 🍽️ Chef Sano from SARA of Tokyo created dishes that beautifully reflected ASICS’ philosophy, offering guests a deeper connection to the brand through food. Even after 20 years in Switzerland, this event is among my top three most unforgettable experiences. 🙏 Thank you for the opportunity—I’m truly honored! #Asics#MontanaSport#Yukata#JapaneseTradition#SportsMeetsCulture#SARAofTokyo#SwissEvents#SwitzerlandLife
Blessed with perfect kimono weather, the second day of the Tokyo Afternoon Tea Gathering was successfully concluded! Following the first day, we were delighted to have Miyoko Ōmomo, a well-known talent, join us again for another wonderful time. ✨ We sincerely appreciate her taking the time to be with us despite her busy schedule.
Just like the first day, many wonderful people gathered, making the atmosphere even more vibrant and warm. We were so comfortable that, before we knew it, we had spent nearly five hours in the lounge! ☕✨
✨ A Special Moment on This Day ✨
On this special day, we had the honor of awarding a certification to Yuki Sugawara, who had been learning Table Style Tea Ceremony online! 🎉 After dedicating so much time to practice and receiving video guidance, she finally reached this milestone through her continuous efforts.
Sharing this emotional moment with everyone truly warmed my heart. ✨ Table Style Tea Ceremony is gaining popularity as a casual way to enjoy tea, even without tatami or a traditional Japanese room. It is also highly appreciated by people worldwide, and I am more determined than ever to continue sharing this beautiful culture. 🌏💚
🌿 Now Accepting New Students for Table Tea Ceremony! 🌿
Beginners are more than welcome! Even if you have no prior experience, you will learn how to prepare tea step by step, just like Yuki did. 🍵✨ If you’re interested, feel free to send me a DM!
🙏 Heartfelt Gratitude to All 🙏
A sincere thank you to everyone who joined us. I truly appreciate each and every one of you. ✨ May these wonderful connections continue to flourish.
I will also be posting about my work as a sushi chef in Switzerland and kimono-related photos at @sushi_yoko_com. Be sure to check out my stories and posts! Your follows & likes mean a lot and keep me motivated! 🙏 @sushi_yoko_kimono

The first day of our Afternoon Tea Gathering at the lounge of the Tokyo Royal Park Hotel has successfully concluded, thanks to everyone’s support.
First and foremost, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our special guest, Miyoko Ōmomo, an executive coach. ✨
I have always resonated with her words: “Live for the present, not just for the future.”
True to her philosophy, she listened attentively to everyone’s stories and brightened up the atmosphere, for which I am truly grateful.
Our gathering began under the refreshing sunlight and progressed into the evening, bathed in the glow of a breathtaking sunset.
After enjoying a relaxed conversation at the hotel’s executive floor lounge, we moved to a quiet private room, where we prepared tea with the night view of Tokyo Tower in the background.
That small act of making tea transformed our time from a simple “chat session” into a deeper, heartfelt exchange.
In our daily lives, we are constantly occupied with work and household tasks. Amidst our busy thoughts, the opportunity to quietly prepare tea together in the heart of Tokyo with such wonderful people became, for me, a moment of mindfulness—a luxurious time to return to the present and regain inner peace.
I wonder if each participant also found it to be a valuable time? I sincerely appreciate every single person who shared this wonderful moment with us.
May our connections continue for many years to come.
Thank you very much for supporting our first World Matcha Forum on 19 October 2024. We couldn’t have done it without your participation!
We had 44 donors and 29 of you participated in the forum on the day.
As mentioned during the forum, Mr. Taichi Kirimoto, a Wajima lacquerware artisan and the CEO of Wajima Kirimoto shop, edited and proofed the Wajima lacquerware quiz while suffering from the second natural disaster and a subsequent personal illness. We would appreciate if you can check out his Instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/taiichi_kirimoto/
On the way, we offered a moment of silence for the 360 people who lost their lives in the earthquake and 13 people who lost their lives in the floods, and then everyone made tea together.
Louise from Zurich placed first in the Wajima lacquerware quiz, congratulations! She will be collecting her prize directly from Yoko.
We will administer the charity funds in the coming days and provide an update.
Thank you again and hope to see you soon again.
Best regards,
Kimono Blossom and Sushi Yoko

Guinness World Records? Tea making at 3883 meters!
My friend A-chan from junior high school came from Japan,
We decided to go to Zermatt to see the Matterhorn.
We decided to make tea on the way,
So, my first apprentice, Akemi, and I went to Zurich
We drove 4 hours from Zurich to Zermatt.
Usually, the weather in Switzerland is not as bad as it was this year.
The weather in Switzerland had been bad from April to June,
I was a little worried a week before the departure 😅.
But when I arrived there, I was surprised to see the Matterhorn clearly and distinctly.
I rushed up to the 3883 meter point by lift and gondola,
As I expected, the temperature was minus 😆.
We had no choice but to make matcha (powdered green tea) in the ice cave 🤩.
I have been to Zermatt many times, but this will be a memory I will never forget.

Tea ceremony at a table in a 5-star hotel in Osaka
Tea ceremony at a table in a 5-star hotel in Osaka
I started holding monthly Kimono Lunches in Zurich in January 2015.
I wanted to do something exciting for everyone, even if it was just going out in a kimono.
At the last kimono lunch party in Osaka, We had a tea ceremony in a private room on the hotel’s executive floor.
This time we held it in a suite room of a five-star hotel. The European-style furnishings matched the kimonos very well. And the theme this time was camellias. A camellia tea bowl.
The main pastry is “Tamatsubaki”, a famous pastry from my hometown of Himeji. Golden tea bowls were brought from Switzerland. 💦.
And I wrote thank-you notes on Japanese paper. I handed them out to everyone.
I hope to meet you again in May. Or I will show you online how to serve matcha.
