🍵 Part 2 – Table-Style Japanese Tea Ceremony

16:00–17:30 JPY 6,490

Experience the world of table-style Japanese tea ceremony in a private room overlooking Tokyo Tower.

While enjoying the city view, take a break from the busyness of everyday life and spend a peaceful, mindful moment immersed in Japanese tea culture.

You will learn how to receive and drink tea, how to use kaishi paper, the meaning behind tea bowls and utensils, and ideas for table coordination.

We will also explore Japanese seasonal expressions and ideas from the Analects of Confucius, offering an enjoyable introduction to the depth of Japanese culture.

Through a bowl of tea, we hope you will experience the spirit of cherishing the present moment and begin the New Year with a calm and refreshed mind.

No previous tea ceremony experience is required, and there is no need to sit in the traditional seiza position.

We will explain how to receive and enjoy Japanese tea in both Japanese and English!

A script will also be provided on the day.

This session is especially recommended for anyone who has opportunities to introduce Japanese culture to international guests, works in inbound tourism, or would like to learn how to introduce tea ceremony in English.

You are very welcome even if you are not confident in your English.
